VC STEM Announces 2017 Golden Gear Award Winners!

The Ventura County STEM network recognized 12 educational settings for their work in implementing high-quality STEM learning strategies through VC STEM’s Golden Gear Awards. Four categories of awards were provided this year:

  • Early STEM Learning
  • Elementary School STEM
  • Middle School STEM
  • Primary STEM Expanded Learning

The recipients of the 2017 Golden Gear award included:

The application process for the Golden Gear Award included a two part application, team review, and site visit. As part of their application, settings identified how they were implementing VC STEM’s attributes of high-quality STEM programming as outlined in the VC STEM 3D Too: Discover, Dream, and Design.

The schedule for future Golden Gear awards is provided below:

    • Primary STEM Expanded Learning
  • Even Years
    • Middle School STEM
    • High School STEM
    • Secondary STEM Expanded Learning
